Rules
Every creature has a category. People put money into the categories they care about, and the totals decide the order. That is the whole game.
There are two competitions
Contributions to a category add up, and the total decides where that category sits on the board. That is the team game: which corner of the internet turns up for its favourite.
Inside a category, backers are ordered by how much they put in, and the largest is shown as the top backer. That is the individual game.
Nothing you put in is ever lost
Your name and your link stay on the category’s list permanently, with the amount you contributed. Somebody contributing more later takes the top slot; it does not take your listing away.
This is the difference between Dexbid and the sites it resembles. You do not need the top slot for your contribution to mean something.
Amounts
The minimum is €1. Totals only ever go up: there are no seasons and nothing is reset.
The amount recorded is the amount the payment provider confirms it took. Nothing reaches the board before a payment is confirmed.
One listing per name, per category
Use the same handle again in the same category and the amounts merge into a single listing rather than appearing twice. Capitalisation and a leading “@” make no difference.
Contribute to a different category and that is a separate listing, which is what the Biggest backers table adds up.
Anonymous backings
An anonymous backing counts toward the category total but carries no name or link, cannot be merged with any other backing, and cannot be claimed or converted later.
An anonymous backing can still hold the top slot if it is the largest. It is left out of the Biggest backers table, because there is no name to credit it to.
Names and links
A listing shows one name and one link. Links are accepted from YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, X, Instagram and Discord only, and anything else is refused at checkout.
There are no accounts, which means anybody can type any handle. If you find your name on a listing you did not pay for, contact us and we will take it down.
Not a game of chance
There is no prize, no draw, no randomness and no possibility of winning money or goods. Dexbid is not a game of chance, a lottery, a competition or a gambling service.
Payments are accepted only from people aged 18 or over.
Statistics
Visitor and online counts are measured, never estimated or embellished.
